The D.M.Keith Ltd training programme 2009
“DRIVING EXCELLENCE WITH A HUMAN TOUCH”
Many companies in the current climate are trying to save money by cutting their
training budget for 2009. We have decided we must be different. It is the personal
experience, indeed the “Human Touch” that we offer that makes us different from
other dealerships and is the key reason that ensures we will thrive not just survive.
We must play to win, not just play to survive. We must emerge from this downturn,
stronger, fitter, and better trained than everyone around us. It is for this
reason that I have committed D.M.Keith Ltd., to continually improve the skill
levels of all of us. We have decided to refine and improve our current training
for Sales Advisors, Service and Parts Advisors, Service Managers, and Valet Drivers
and all other personnel who interface with our customers. This is an important
pillar that will support our growth as a company into the future.
From now on, we will integrate training required under the Skoda brand standards
with a programme developed in conjunction with our new training partner, “kream
training ltd”. This new, comprehensive training programme is not only supported
by the Institute of the Motor Industry but provides Sales Executives and other
customer facing personnel with a nationally recognised, work-based NVQ level 2
qualification. More importantly it also ensures that our Sales Advisors are even
better equipped to deliver outstanding sales results and our customer facing personnel
outstanding customer service.
The NVQ will form part of”The D M Keith 2009 Training Programme”. With a focus
on continually improving the skill levels of all people employed within D M Keith
and improving the satisfaction levels of all customers, this programme is entitled
“Driving excellence with a human touch”.
The training will consist of a combination of classroom training but will also
incorporate approximately ten assessments and progress review sessions held at
the dealership over the duration of the course which is anticipated to take six
months to complete. This on-site assessment will allow us to introduce new skills
and reinforce key messages whilst also enabling employees to benefit from one
on one learning sessions.
As a business we recognise that our success depends upon the skill levels of
our employees. As the motor industry enters tougher times, we think investment
in our employees is paramount to ensuring the business is recession proof. We
also believe that this comprehensive training programme will not only improve
the skill levels of our employees but will also increase the business performance
and enhance our service to customers.
